I am genuinely gutted for you mate! I was under the impression they were up there with the best and as it's been said the ECU can easily be damaged while taking the bottom out to remap.
I am also questioning the power that you ended up with as everyone I have spoken to, is overjoyed with their performance gains.
There is a company called Big Fish Tunning in North Yorkshire who have remaped a 640d in my area and the owner who is local to me has kindly offered to take me out in it! I will be reporting back on that map and will advise you guys.
I'm seriously stuck, but DMS is still an option for me! They are still the remapping specialist for this engine and I am yet to hear a bad word about them!
As for Tunning boxes, every car is running differently, and I would only every get my car remapped on a rolling road where the vehicle can be monitored effectively. But hey, that's my preference.
