I was going to stay away from replacing the shocks because I want to keep the ability to adjust them while driving. In Massachusetts there are plenty of bad roads and it can help to soften it up. These bad roads and the unavoidable steep driveways are why I am a little afraid to go any lower than the Dinan's mild drop. I had a lowered cars years ago with a chin spoiler and it was a pain.

Look into K&W HAS. It will retain your OEM EDC struts, while allowing you to adjust the height to your taste. Dinan is saying the added weight may change their ride height spec, so HAS allow you to set the height how you want it.
