Coming from a 328, through a 528 to a 640. Also test drove a 435 GC before settling on my 640. I recommend you drive them too.
There really was no contest in my mind. Fit/finish/feel was far superior in the 640GC. 435 felt small, quick, drove nice. But the 640 put a huge smile on my face....
I do wish the 640 had a trunk like the 435GC, that was a great feature.
