After 3.5 months of patiently waiting, my 2013 Phoenix Yellow/Fox Red Extended E92 M3 is here. As far as I know it is one of very very very few in the country. No pictures I have ever taken have done justice to show this color properly, something you must see in person to truly appreciate and give an honest opinion of.

I am one of the few who is completely obsessed with Phoenix Yellow (owner of an e46 M3 in Phoenix as well). When I ordered this car I was somewhat concerned with how it would look as I've seen photos of 6 series, 5 series and even regular 3 series in Phoenix and disliked most of them. I must say, this is one of the best colors I have ever seen on the E92 M3 and it looks better on my E92 than it does on my E46.

I've attached some photos taken with different cameras at different times of day. As you can see the color doesn't look consistent across the photos thus illustrating how difficult it is to photograph accurately. The last photo of the car in my driveway is probably the most accurate representation of the color.

Hopefully I will have some professional photos soon.

Yes… the wheel gap is killing me too, she's getting dropped very soon.

P.S. I know Phoenix Yellow isn't for everyone…if you don't like her, no need to comment ;)

Just wanted to give you guys my experience with a new DIY garage in the LA area. My local BMW dealer recently told me that I have a leak at my oil filter housing on my 2006 330i and that my oil filter housing gasket would have to be replaced soon. Rather than spend the 900 bucks he was quoting me to get it fixed, I went to Your Dream Garage in Baldwin Park and fixed it myself. I recommend them highly as they had all the tools I needed to get the job done. The staff is friendly and competent and they have a mechanic to get you out of jams.

Check them out: http://www.urdreamgarage.com

thats lowered on H&R Race Springs which is the only visible mod.

Im Looking into purchasing a 335i in 6 Speed Manual but im not sure if the handling will be the same or better than the e46. It handles nice as it sits now, but will a 335i feel the same or better?
Also considering braking, will there be any differences between stopping power?
I know it will be a decently faster which is always a plus.

Not sure what to expect If i get the 335i.

Heres a pic of my ZHP btw.

I'm at a crossroads right now. I purchased my 1M 17 months ago and have loved every minute since. I drove it all the way back from the dealership 1000 miles home with my 8 week old in the back seat. I'm debating now on selling the 1M and picking up a lightly used e90 M3 for around the $40k mark with no more than 30k miles. I went with the BMW Select program with the 1M so my payments are relatively low ($720). I could get the M3 for about the same per month but in an outright purchase. The question is, in 4 years, where would I be equity wise with both options. The residual on the 1M is set at about $22k. I'm going to guess it will be worth about $30k at that point with 70k miles. That's a complete guess, but who knows. The M3 would be paid off, but worth less. Now from I see, financially speaking, the M3 makes more sense. This leaves out the factor of warranty length on the 2011 1M vs. a 2008/09 M3. The M3 I would be looking at may not have the warranty anymore right now. Opinions?
